Primary Care Physician

We are a busy primary care office looking to fill full-time positions at our practice. We are looking for experienced physicians to add to our comprehensive team of providers.


Our patient care ranges from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring that an entire family can be a part of our welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. As a long-standing practice, many of our patients are on a first-name basis with our staff, allowing for well-established relationships between our patients and team members.


As a family practice we pride ourselves on our ability to offer the services of a larger primary care facility with the familiarity of a smaller family practice. Our primary focus as family physicians is preventive medicine that includes working to promote overall physical and mental well-being while also educating our patients on disease prevention and the management of chronic illnesses.


Our office utilizes Medent for the purposes of chart management, medical record retention, and internal communication. Experience with Medent is preferred, but training for operating within Medent will be available if necessary.


Requirements for the Position:

• A BE/BC in Family Medicine

• A NYS license

• A DEA

• Accreditation of Residency in the US

• Completion of Residency from Accredited Facility


Core Clinical Functions:

• Providing full-time direct patient care as a member of an expanded healthcare team.

• Providing outpatient primary care for a panel of patients, including routine and urgent visits.

• Prescribing medications within scope of practice.

• Ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies including laboratory tests and other diagnostic screening.

• Timely and effective documentation of patient notes in Medent.

• Reviewing health needs, ordering health promotion and disease prevention measures.

• Providing patients and their families with education regarding preventive care, chronic conditions, and treatments.

• Participating in team communications.

• Completing patient forms and responding to internal communication in a timely manner.

• Monitoring and managing an assigned patient panel for key population health metrics.


Additional Responsibilities:

• Supervising and/or collaborating with primary care mid-level providers, including clinical oversight and peer review.

• Supporting absent providers with handling urgent triages and secure messages.

• Occasionally supervising, educating, and evaluating medical residents and/or students.

• Attending and participating in internal staff meetings.


Compensation & Benefit:

• $160,000 - $220,000* annually

*The pay range listed is a typical potential base compensation that may be offered to a qualified applicant. Several factors are considered when determining compensation for an individual including but not limited to years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
